Mochi luminaire recognized by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design
Montreal, QC, April 3, 2025 - Cyclone Lighting (www.cyclonelighting.com), an established leader in the manufacture of outdoor luminaires, is pleased to announce its Mochi luminaire has won a GOOD DESIGN® Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design.
GOOD DESIGN was founded in Chicago in 1950 and remains the oldest and most recognized program for design excellence worldwide. The Chicago Athenaeum presents the GOOD DESIGN Awards Program to honor the yearly achievements of the best industrial and graphic designs and world manufacturers for their pursuit of extraordinary design excellence. The emphasis of the GOOD DESIGN program is design and manufacturing that has chartered new directions for innovation and pushed the envelope for competitive products in the world marketplace. Mochi was recognized in the Lighting category.
Mochi’s nature-inspired silhouette departs from traditional dome styling, bringing a softness to urban settings while delivering exceptional lighting performance. Its thoughtful design extends to its operating mechanism: a seamlessly integrated cast aluminum push-button latch provides one-handed access to the driver for easy replacement.
All award-winning products are published in the GOOD DESIGN Yearbook for 2024-2025. Winners will also be celebrated in April at the 2024 GOOD DESIGN Show in Athens, Greece.
