Taji exterior luminaire family receives GOLD CERTIFICATION in 2026 competition
Montreal, QC, August 25, 2026 – Cyclone Lighting (www.cyclonelighting.com), an established leader in the manufacture of outdoor luminaires, is pleased to announce it has received a GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN Award in the 19th edition of the competition. Its Taji family was awarded GOLD CERTIFICATION in the Product Design – Lighting/Outdoor Lighting Fixture category.
The GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN Awards is an international competition that celebrates the excellence and talent of creative professionals and firms who have distinguished themselves through exemplary practice. Created in Montreal in 2007, the original mission was to recognize the excellence of Quebec designers and architects. The competition was expanded to include international entries in 2020. Submissions for the 19th edition were evaluated by a global jury of 120+ leading experts in design, architecture, landscape, communication, and the built environment.
Taji's distinctive, stylish silhouette and slender lines are a refreshing departure from the ubiquitous dome luminaire. Its flared form maintains a slender, minimalist feel yet provides high-performance optics. The luminaire brings a unique look and feel to various outdoor applications such as city and residential streets, parks, pathways, university campuses, courtyards, and multisport facilities.
Award winners will be celebrated at a gala in Montreal on October 8, 2026.
